Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebrates one of the most recognized faces of the 1960s Civil Rights Movement, also known as the African American Civil Rights Movement.

In the U.S., we recognize Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday on the third Monday of January every year to preserve his legacy of protest against racial inequality.

Why did you decide to apply to be a Discovery Girl? How did you find out about the Summit?
